Personality-Based Relaxing Music – Research Project
This project explores how music can create deeper relaxation when it is composed according to the listener’s personality.
Using the Big Five Personality Traits (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism), I composed 10 original relaxing music pieces, each inspired by a different personality type.
To test their effect, I used:

EEG (Muse 2) to monitor brainwaves

Heart rate measurements

Personal emotional reflections (autoethnography)
Main results:

Calmness increased from 27% to 52%

Stillness rose from 6% to 75%

Heart rate slightly decreased
This suggests that personalised relaxation music is more effective than generic relaxing music.
